Bloggity Blog Blog

I haven’t written anything more than a sentence in nearly a week. Nor published a blog in a month. That’s not to say I haven’t tried. I’ve attempted several blogs, but quit midway through.

I want to get back in the habit, but how does one accomplish that?

After googling, there appears to be a lot of different advice out there. I guess that’s obvious, it is the internet. Most agreed doing something everyday for three to four weeks would help. Though another said it really depends on the individual’s ability to stay the course. They argue the whole point is to make a life style change. While I agree, I still think for me, setting up a time frame would be a good short term goal.

So I’ve decided to try thirty days. I thought about starting tomorrow, since it’s the first of the month. However, there’s no time like the present. So here goes.

Sparringmind.com also suggested I examine where my habit tends to fall apart. There are a few reasons, though I wonder if the most pressing is my need for perfection. A friend of mine posted her poem on Facebook. She said she was tired of waiting for it to be perfect and figured her friends would be supportive as she worked through her creative process. I found this inspiring. I too want to let myself grow without the hindrance of my inner critic.

I read reminders could be useful, so I’m planting them all over the house. I may have to move them over time, so my mind doesn’t start blending them into the background.

Lastly, I’m gonna go with the flow and see where this road takes me. Thanks for walking with me.

  1. thank heaven your finally fixed. I’m sure that every day has some sort of life lesson. It can be a story ( which I love) but it also can be a one liner such as ” I didn’t know that , but now I do “.
